I was asked to do a screen shot. How do I do that?

To take a screenshot, we recommend you use the snipping tool in Windows. That way, we can see your image better than compared to photos taken by smartphone.

You already have this tool if you’re using Windows 7, Windows 8, or Windows 10. There is no need to download any software.

To open the Snipping Tool, select the Start button, type Snipping Tool, and then select it in the search results. (There is no keyboard shortcut available.)

To take a screenshot, select New, and then select the part of the screen that you want to capture. Choose from free-form, rectangular, window, or full-screen snips by selecting the arrow on the New button.

After you create the snip, you can draw on it with the built-in pens, save it, copy it, or email it to someone.
